Hello everybody, today I'll present you this week's news of the tech world :

- UK government orders investigation into Nvidia’s $40bn Arm takeover
Recently, Nvidia had made it public that they wanted to buy the company Arms Holding, a British company
The UK government has started an investigation over Nvidia in fear of "national security concerns" and lack of competition in the market
The UK culture secretary had already issued a warning to the CMA (competition and market's authority) in September but the investigation has officially started now
Oliver Dowden, the UK culture secretary, main protagonist for this lawsuit has said :
"We want to support our thriving UK tech industry and welcome foreign investment but it is appropriate that we properly consider the national security implications of a transaction like this"
Hermann Hauser (co-founder of arm) had already written a letter to the House of Commons foreign affairs committee warning of Nvidia becoming a new big monopoly

- Rumors of Nvidia 3080 ti are spreading over the internet
A recent photo of an msi packing box was "leaked" by a Facebook user recently, this box was said ot contain numerous unreleased graphics card (such as the 3080 ti, 2090 etc...
Show ContentSpoiler:
It is said that the msrp of the 3080 ti would be of 999 $ (but odds are that with the recent supply situation there is risk that it will sell for much more on ebay)
Other photos were leaked and were rumored to be 2090s and others
The RTX 3080 ti would apparently launch in May of this year, so be on the lookout
The specs of the graphics card would be of 10,240 CUDA cores, 80 RT cores and 320 Tensor cores and that it would pack 12 gb drr6x of ram. It would supposedly fall just under it's bigger competitor, the RTX 3090

- The emergence of storage based cryptocurrencies could limit the market of storage devices
There was a recent surge in China of ssd/hdd  (hard drives) cryptocurrencies. It is said that those cryptocurrencies ( mainly being the Chia ) could limit the supply of storage devices, which to this day, hadn't been all that affected by the recent scalping/mass buying situation
As of the time I'm writing this, this has mainly occurred in China
