PIA was my go to VPN before.. but they have become costly.. so sticking to VPN`s which i find for free on internet..

I vote for Mullvad and Express. I have used quite a few over the past years and Ive found most of them gimmicky. Usual issues are speeds. my 300 mbps connection ends up ~1 mbps :/
I also take in account the VPNs which get hacked too often, so while Nord speeds are generally better, I avoid them. Surfshark is very cheap and has good speeds too.

For all cracking and not legal stuff, you need many ways

My setup Perfect Privacy VPN > ovpn.to in the virtualmaschines / whonix for tor things > RDP Clean IP

and activeded killswitch and dns encryption

I used NordVPN and express vpn and both are pretty reliable.
Had no issue with both so I guess it would be my recommendation
