I don't know what country you are from or how much you owe them, but most likely you will be hassled by debt collectors and they will not stop contacting you until they get their money. Could eventually lead to is affecting your credit score. I however ended up paying, because I did not want to change my number and wanted to undo the ban that was on my account. Simply copped it on the chin as a loss and mistake on my part and moved on.
