Hey yall.
Ealier tonight I found a flash drive that belonged to a really good friend of mine who passed in sept. The only thing on it is a 10.7 gb file called "4mekey.jpg"
I recognize 4mekey as the title of iphone management software...right?
Is there any way to figure out what the correct file extention is? I tried TrIDnet, and several online file ID sites with zero luck.

Maybe its a package for Tensorshare itself? Try the free version and see if it recognizes it maybe? If not maybe try a file compressor with it like WinRaR or 7-zip maybe? I can't imagine its a 10gb image file.... not impossible but its unlikely right? Or could be a system package for an Iphone similar to system images for a Vmachine. Maybe Itunes since its probably for an Iphone. Just some thoughts, Also Im going off the fact it says 4MeKey which is an Icloud software thing from what I can find.

It sounds like your friend either renamed an image file as a .jpg or maybe an encrypted volume as a .jpg. Do you know if your friend used any encryption software or if he used winzip/winrar/7zip, etc?

shit. It's very likely a veracrypt container. I can't believe that didn't even cross my mind.  That makes me kinda sad tho...

Thanks for jogging my memory.
