[HELP] Zalando Refund

I am doing a partial refund on Zalando for the first time. I spoke to customer service who said he would be sending me a legal statement to sign and resend, so he could start looking into the problem.

Is this normal or should I skip the refund?

Btw. just another question: I see on the package that there is a quite accurate weight on the parcel (2 decimal digits), so I bailed out on refunding the 2 most expensive items, in which one of them were a pair of shoes, which was most of the weight - can i safely do the shoes even though they account for most of the parcel's weight? 

2) If I can do the shoes, is it still safe to write them on the legal statement instead of the other item, even though I said the other item to the customer service, and he wrote product IDs in the mail?

It's totally safe. Just write what was missing from the parcel. The carrier could have taken the items out for all they know. To be honest I always go all in and say parcel did not arrive. One store even sent me a delivery pic of the parcels outside my front door, I played the upset card and they were left in full view of passers by so must have been stolen. Got a full refund. Don't worry. At worst you return items or sell on ebay to make your money back. It's your word against theirs and you are the customer they want to keep happy.
