Leeching has nothing to do with liking a thread or not...although if you think the post has good content you should leave a like.  A leecher is somebody who takes but never gives back to the community.  A good sign somebody is leeching is if they only have posts, but no threads (but not always).  You can give back to the community by posting new content, helping others, or even asking questions that other people might have (like this thread).
