If you don't meet the post and like requirement for Auth (Which isn't hard if you actually contribute) you shouldn't be able to rep. That just gives leechers so much power, the entitled 9 year old that gets mad because the netflix accounts you posted a year ago don't work anymore can -rep you which actually has an effect on how you are seen in the community. At least take away their ability to -rep. Please comment if you agree.

Even though I am someone that doesn't meet the post requirements I agree with it. So much free shit given away that shouldn't be saturated because kiddies.

You still qualify, you have upgraded rank = auth

This sounds like a very good idea, but what if you legitimately need to -rep someone?

Can you give an example of when someone without auth would need to do that?

Say a new user just signed up, they bought a product, and lets say they got scammed by another user, they would leave -rep at the end. Yes, it may impact the community much as you have stated, but it would give insight into the user for other customers

If a new user gets scammed they can open a scam report against anyone and get them banned, -rep for scams without a scam report are pretty much abusive.

I guess you have a good point, but -rep should still be available in some form
