So I was SEing a webcam from logitech for zoom classes, and it went fine I created a fake walmart receipt and had a serial number. Then the rep asked for the serial number not on the box, but on the product tag attached to the webcams cord. Anyone know what I can do to complete this SE?

First, what Serial number did you give them?

Remember, the S/N that appears in the BOX, isn't the same as the product S/N
check on the internet for a serial number, or generate one yourself

Try searching in eBay for the webcam model you're currently doing and check if any of the lists have a picture with a clear visible S/N in th tag you mentioned

After you've find your serial number, just give it to 'em and wait for their response

gave em the one on the box. Didn't think it would cause a problem I used to give them the serial on the box all the time when I did logitech in the past year or two

It has changed since then... [Image: ughpepe.png]

In general, you should always avoid giving the s/n on the box for any company unless they ask you to...

For now, you can only search for a real product s/n
