Need linux distro recommandations for a returning user

Used linux about 4 years ago as my daily driver, ran arch + i3 back in the day however now I want something way simpler, more user friendly; don't have the time to fiddle with the configs 24/7.
Was thinking ubuntu/debian/opensuse however I haven't kept up with patch notes :)
Any distro you recommend which got better in the past years?

If you want something user friendly and don't want to stress about things linux mint is the best.
