Initiative Q est une tentative d'anciens membres de PayPal pour créer un nouveau système de paiement à la place des cartes de paiement conçues dans les années 1950. Le système utilise sa propre monnaie, le Q, et pour inciter les gens à commencer à l'utiliser dès qu'ils sont prêts, ils attribuent gratuitement des Q aux personnes qui s'inscrivent maintenant (le montant diminue à mesure que de plus en plus de personnes adhèrent - il est donc préférable de rejoindre plus tôt). L'inscription est gratuite et ils ne demandent que votre nom et une adresse e-mail. Il n'y a rien à perdre, mais si ce système de paiement devient l'un des moyens de paiement les plus performants au monde, vos Qs pourraient valoir beaucoup.
