Some of us remember @TheShred. He offered to double btc sent to him. A few guys got the investment back and the rest (including me) got scammed, which is why @TheShred got banned.
Now, I see more threads like this showing up. For example:
https://cracked.to/Thread-BTC-Gambling-S...ey-or-more by @Xarayah
I'll be using his thread as example and I believe it will show everything wrong with selling gambling "methods" and btc double services.
"Basically, I gamble a lot and have a lot of success with it and use my own manual betting method to make money so I don't rely on scripts or bots and am always in full control, I use a few sites and a few methods but I usually have reasonable success"
First of all, there is no way to make something that is random, less random. You can't predict it, it just happens.
So whenever seller says they use a "method to gamble" and use THAT as their selling point, what they are saying is they are delusional enough, to believe they've created something, that allows to play the unbeatable game, without losing. Is that possible? No.
Next selling point we have in the example above is the following: "so I don't rely on scripts or bots and am always in full control".
Let's dissect what he is saying.
He is doing it manually. Manually in this case means, he is doing the gambling based on his feelings, which is pretty accurate, so when he starts fucking up he will _____________ (insert what he does here. personally I hope he cashes out and returns the funds to the buyer).
As for the "full control" part, I call bullshit on that as well. As he is doing all the gambling manually and there is not a single method to beat something that is random, his decision making is pretty much based on what he feels like.
"my greed sometimes leads to failure but it's my own money so I don't really care"
Even though it's bullshit selling point, "full control" certainly looks good and might motivate some people to hand him over the money.
Does someone who is "greedy" and is well aware of the fact that his greed leads to failure, but still continues to act as his impulses dictate seem like a person who's in full control of his emotions? It doesn't. Emotions are ruling over his decision making.
" it's my own money so I don't really care" - Once you hand him over the money, your money, becomes his. If you want, I'll go deeper into this.
@Xarayah for example even states that he might lose it all, but what happens with the buyers funds?
Let's see.
"It's gambling, if you go into it expecting no risk then you deserve to be fucked as far as I can see
I explain pretty clearly it's not guaranteed, so if someone buys from me expecting guaranteed money then they're taking full responsibility for what happens"
So, in short, you won't be getting your money back as the seller of this magnificent "service" won't be paying from his own pocket, in case of a fuck up, which he isn't in control of, otherwise he'd guarantee results. There is a lot of misadvertising which might lead people, especially newcomers to the site, that they'll be getting their money back. Since there is no guarantee on the service and buyers aren't getting their money back, this shouldn't belong in the marketplace at all. Users who'd like to offer this type of services are better of making a donation request thread in the lounge.
