On November 20, 2023, Riot will be phasing out the usage of "Summoner Names" and moving all players exclusively to Riot IDs to create a more unified experience across all games.
In other words, your VALORANT (or LoR) in-game name will be your summoner name in League of Legends.
Other Riot games like VALORANT and LoR already use the Riot ID, so in League of Legends, you will have that in-game name.
