What do you think about body modifications?

Like piercings , tattoos etc.

I am talking about casual things. Not talking about extreme things like "inject botox into your forehead to look like the spawn of devil" .

Things like flashes , tattoos  , piercings etc.

Do you think it will affect anything in your life if you have or thinking about making any tattoo or piercing?
Also do you think people that have tattoos or piercings are affected by the society in any way?

I have finger tattoos, snakebites and stretched ears and everyone always said it would affect my career. Well they were wrong that is for sure. 

I personally just see them as a way of expression. Just the older generations have a stroke over them

I just started stretching my ear. And I work in a lot of stuff. But guess what most of my partners and customers were like "Wow cool ,  never met a guy that does business and has stretched ears" . So that clearly says that looks doesn't mean it will affect your business or career.

Trying not to dox myself but I work for a global news company as a marketing executive. I travel and talk to hundreds of different people throughout the year and it has never affected me. I've had my ears stretched for 6 years, only at 10mm though but I love em.

I dont have any but i dont really think much about them. It's just something people use to express themselves

I personally don't have any tattoos, don't go tattooing your face if your going to work for someone. If your a business owner and know you will never work for someone. Do what you want lol.

Over excessive body modifications will surely affect how people see you, most importantly if you're applying for a job. I'd say having 1-3 tattoos is fine and a few piercing. I personally don't really like piercing and never really got one since it won't look that great on me.

I have nothing against piercing and tattoo. I think it's a way to show your personality, a way to express yourself.
