So some rules on this post you can add multiple quotes or even a poem as long as you edit your post and add additional quotes and what they mean to you. Hope this post serves as a good first example  [Image: feelssadman.png]

if you want to know how to do "↑" it's just alt+24 [Image: Amusing.png] if you like the post and found something insightful feel free to be awesome, help out and give me a like.  PepeBlush

Quote:"If you do not see your own beauty yet, do as the sculptor does with a statue which must become beautiful: he pares away this part, scratches that other part, makes one place smooth, and cleans another, until he causes a beautiful face to appear in the statue. In the same way, you too must pare away what is superfluous, straighten what is crooked, purify all that is dark, in order to make it gleam. And never cease sculpting your own statue, until the divine light of virtue shines within you" - Plotinus
↑this one is a pretty uplifting and important reminder for all of us

Quote:“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” - Frank Herbert, Dune

↑ This one is pretty good for those dealing with a fear or trying to overcome a personal battle

Quote:“Intolerance and superstition has always been the domain of the more stupid amongst the common folk and, I conjecture, will never be uprooted, for they are as eternal as stupidity itself. There, where mountains tower today, one day there will be seas; there where today seas surge, will one day be deserts. But stupidity will remain stupidity. Nicodemus de Boot, Meditations on life, Happiness and Prosperity”
― Andrzej Sapkowski, Blood of Elves
↑ pretty apt and just a great quote

Quote:Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be
      For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
-William Ernest Henely
↑ this again is perfect for any battle or injustice you might be facing that ultimately life is what you make it

Have read a lot of psychology by favorite is "Men are more moral than they think and far more immoral than they can imagine." by Sigmund Freud - this is a summary of the dark side of humanity in a line.
