Why do people buy them? Because they are in the Goldilocks zone. Enough security to prevent every noob with a database leak from raping them, yet security lax enough that your can still access them provided you're not a total dumbass.

theres a lot of information in emails and some people use the same password for their email account and other accounts + u can resell yahoo logs for certain things as full access accounts given that you know what you're doing
