The way the code tags work is an OOB implementation by MyBB. It's currently working as designed.

Most of us don't want to fuck with adding color tags to code to make it look pretty. Syntax highlighting would be a nice feature if it does it automatically, however a plugin would need to be installed to extend current functionality. The best rated one I found is https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?acti...w&pid=1118, however it's 4 years old and might need to be modded or updated to suit our needs. 

You have to consider that the code for this would be loaded EVERY time a thread is viewed. Additionally, it would need to be reviewed to ensure it's not opening us up to vulnerabilities or other bugs. I honestly wouldn't blame @J_S and @KSZ for not wanting to fuck with it considering only a small portion threads here contain code tags. Whether it (or something similar) should be installed or not is entirely up to them though.

Yea, i syntax highlighting would be better but because this don't exist i wanted to do own syntax highlighting by using different clolors for different codes like strings, ints, functions etc.
