I've never finished a book in my entire life, the most I've ever read was like 1/4th of the pages.

I just can't find the motivation to read the whole book.

Everyone says that all smart and successful people read lots of books, does it mean I will be at a huge disadvantage in life?  Pepe

Is anyone the same?

Probably because you're just not really interested in what you're reading.

Just try to find a book about something you're interested in, you'll have a better chance at actually wanting to read and finish it.

Not all book requires you to devourer the book are a whole. Self-help books can often be read in sections which you find useful. However, If you would like to appreciate the book as a whole but lack motivation/time etc, I would recommend reading the book summary readily available online. Happy reading!

I think the best thing for you to start to be a reader is find what suit you. maybe try something related to work if you like you work

Reading is reading.

It doesn't have to be in physical book form. It can be reading a forum, instructions, a cereal box etc.

It's not bad if you don't pickup a book; just be sure to be reading something regularly. (If you can read)

You don't want your reading skill to lower over the years just because you didn't practice; applicable to most other skills, I believe.
